My work as a ceramic artist is deeply rooted in a fascination with the natural world and its cycles of growth and decay. I use plaster casts taken from the root system of a redwood tree. This allows me to create with the exact textures that fascinate me. These ceramic sculptures stand as totems, honoring the beauty, complexity, and subliminality of the natural world that connects all life.
